The Development
The development of Raeburn Place is core to our vision of improving lives through sport, creating modern sporting facilities and a sustainable income stream to support them. RPF is not an “Accies Project”: while the legacy users (the Edinburgh Academical Football and Cricket Clubs and Edinburgh Academy) will still be able to use the playing facilities, they will receive no income from RPF and will rent their own club space on open market terms.
RPF is in an unusual position for a charity. Once the building work is complete and the proposed commercial activities have begun, the charity will be financially self-sustaining. This means the groups we support will have an income stream they can rely on, enabling them to extend their reach, as well as the use of grounds and facilities that will be maintained to the highest standard.
