Licences granted for development
Applications for four provisional licences for the new development were granted at a special hearing of the City of Edinburgh Council's Licensing Board on Tuesday 28 July.
In addition to the main licence for the clubhouse, function rooms and cafe, the Council also granted licences for a restaurant, a licensed retail unit and an ice cream parlour, all within the commercial frontage along Comely Bank Road.
The licences are until 1am for the main facility and the restaurant, with a seasonal variation until 3am during the Festival and at Christmas-time. The ice cream parlour and retail store are licensed until 10pm. All outside eating and drinking will finish by 10pm. These provisions are all in line with standard city-wide licences, including those held by other premises in Stockbridge such as the Raeburn Hotel, Scran & Scallie and Rollo.
